While the common terminology for a group of elk is a herd, another answer may surprise you. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a group of elk may also be referred to as a gang of elk. (Jul 3, 2021)

Making it wide enough and covering it with turf made it a lot more attractive to grazing animals than the dangerous concrete below.
Seems like critters caught on in record time.
Culverts have been used in other places, but they tend to be dark and noisy and there's nothing to eat in them. I think they'll find the overpasses much more widely used.

here on DU. It was cool to watch the ones who are nocturnal. There was a ton of activity by all kinds of animals.
