Olympic College requires vaccination for students attending class in-person this fall

Olympic College will require students attending classes on all three of its campuses to be vaccinated for COVID-19 this fall, and those attending have until Sept. 24 to get their first dose.

Students attending class at the college's campuses in Bremerton, Shelton and Poulsbo are required to receive at least one dose of an approved COVID-19 vaccine by Sept. 24 and must be fully vaccinated by Nov. 5. Those with medical or religious exemptions should begin the exemption request process right away to allow as much time as possible for review and to ensure it is completed by Nov. 5, according to the college.

If students don't become fully vaccinated or receive a medical or religious accommodation by Nov. 5, they will be unenrolled from in-person courses and not allowed to come to campus.

"Students need to complete the vaccination verification and exemption process right away, as soon as possible," said Shawn Devine, an OC spokesman.
