ANACORTES, Wash. - Trips on the #1 Suquamish between Anacortes and the San Juan Islands have been cancelled Friday because of a shortage in staff.
The Washington State Department of Transportation says they had to cancel service for the remainder of the day because of a shortage of Coast Guard documented crew.
The following trips have been cancelled:
4:45 p.m. Anacortes to Friday Harbor
6:30 p.m. Friday Harbor to Anacortes

I wonder if this has to do with the proposed "sick out" to protest the vaccine mandate?

(10,154 posts)I dont know how it is these days but when I was younger working for the ferry system was very desirable. I guess people nowadays are able to get good jobs, if it were me I wouldnt jeopardize my job in support of conspiracy theories. Maybe its got nothing to do with the vaccine mandate.

(10,154 posts)I cant imagine that stopping someone from accepting a job. Working for the government wont make you rich but pretty good job security, usually some kind of retirement, and to me the most important, actually getting vacation and sick days.
