WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. State entomologists have discovered a third Asian Giant hornet nest, just a day after discovering a second nest.
On Saturday, State officials said the third nest of 2021 is in the same area as the other nests, near Blaine by the U.S. - Canada border.
The Washington State Department of Agriculture says they are now working on plans to eradicate the nest and will provide more updates next week.
Officials say all four nests found in the past two years have been within a few miles of each other.

(19,186 posts)I go to a lot of auctions. Old print material brings big bucks these days. They're very cool.

There was a great store in Minneapolis, Uncle Hugos, that burned down during protests (RW extremists lit many of the fires there to blame BLM and Antifa). Named for Hugo Gernsback, it had an extensive collection and inventory for sale.
Gone.
Once those mags are gone, they're gone for good.
There was an auction last month in Buffalo, NY. They had boxes upon boxes of old magazines, newspapers, and old "cheesecake" photos like they used to have on True Detective magazines, and Glamor shots that home-town girls would send to Hollywood agents. All early 1900s to 1960 or so. There had to be 200 lots, or more. The cheapest box went for $325, and some were over $1000. The same guy bought most of them. He had to have bought $30,000 worth of stuff that day, plus an added 22% buyer's premium on top of that. He'll sell it all and make a ton of money, no doubt.
I wouldn't worry too much, it's not like that stuff isn't coming to life in a town near you soon.
