Jack-Knifed Semi Crash Likely To Cause I-5 Backups: WSP
TACOMA, WA — A semi truck crash in central Tacoma is likely to cause some significant traffic issues for commuters using I-5 Thursday.
According to Washington State Patrol Trooper Robert Reyer, a sem truck jack-knifed on the ramp from northbound I-5 to I-705 in Tacoma City Center.
Though no injuries have been reported, the collision has blocked the entire on ramp, and backups are already building.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area for the near future, as there is no ETA for when the road may reopen. The cause of the crash remains unknown.
