Garfield High School shuts down for the day due to staffing issues
SEATTLE – Garfield High School canceled everything Tuesday because too many people are out sick.
School officials say there is currently a high number of staff sick leave requests, too many to keep up with.
There will not be remote class, transportation or athletics. However, grab-and-go lunches are available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The girls' and boys’ basketball game against Rainier Beach at Seattle Pacific University will still go on.
