Crematorium fined but neighbors say stench, smoke continue

Neighbors are fuming about a crematorium in Lake Forest Park that keeps allowing smoke to drift over their homes.

The business has been cited and fined but people nearby say the stench and exhaust keep pouring out of the chimneys.

The crematorium is called Seattle Care Center and it is on the grounds of Acacia Memorial Park and Funeral Home on Bothell Hwy NE. Over the past year and a half neighbors have filed dozens of complaints. The problem, they said, is nothing changes.

KOMO News checked with the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency and found 51 complaints filed in the past two years against Seattle Care Center.
