New international arrivals facility at Sea-Tac Airport set to open this spring
The Port of Seattle is set to open a significantly upgraded hub at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport by adding a 450,000-square-foot International Arrivals Facility that is designed to double capacity and reduce wait times for the airline's international arrivals, the carrier said in a statement posted on its website.
In a statement posted on its website, Delta Air Lines said the move will "significantly enhance the customer experience and advance the Puget Sound region as a leading tourism and business gateway."
In a statement on its website, the Port of Seattle described the project as "the most complex capital development program in the history of the 71-year-old airport" that would bolster the arrival process for international passengers without adding new gates.
Delta said it would be the largest user of the new international terminal. In addition to Seattle, Delta said it will also implement major improvements to its terminals in Los Angeles and at New York's LaGuardia Airport.
