After baseball bat attack on woman in Seattle, some say incident should be wake-up call

The random and unprovoked attack on a woman walking alone in Seattle in January still has the city reeling after she was clobbered by a man whom she did not know.

The accused attacker, identified as Wantez Tulloss, 31, has been ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation after the King County Prosecutors; Office described him as a "danger to the community."

As of Friday, Tulloss remained in the King County Jail in lieu of a $150,000 bond. He is expected to return to court on March 7, and faces up to 12 years in prison if convicted of the assault.

The random attack, which was caught on surveillance cameras, was so horrific, it shocked the conscience of those who saw it.
