Tuesday set to be Seattle's warmest day of the year, but it won't last long
SEATTLE Temperatures are trending cooler than normal, but Tuesday will be the warmest day we've seen this year.
"Our first 60-degree day of the year is forecast Tuesday, which will help to germinate those spring seeds," KOMO News Meteorologist Kristin Clark said. "The plants got a good drink of rain the past 48 hours with a healthy half-inch in North Sound and over 1 inch along the Pacific Coast. Heavy snow was falling at Snoqualmie Pass this morning but will soon change to rain as a warm front stalls over Western Washington.
"For the lowlands, showers keep the pavement wet well into the evening commute."
By Tuesday, rain clouds clear and a south breeze sends high temperatures into the low 60s across Puget Sound. Finally, a spring feel, if only for a day.
