Psychedelics played role in Wallace Falls hiker's death, police say

A 25-year-old woman has been found dead near Wallace Falls in Snohomish County. Police suspect psychedelic mushrooms played a part.

Leigh Kuppler was out for a hike at the falls with her partner last Friday when they ran into a pair of young women.

"At one point she was standing there and she fell straight back onto the ground hitting her head on the rocks," said Kuppler.

According to Kuppler, the women appeared intoxicated, but not drunk.

Makes a little more sense. It's really not that difficult of a hike.

I've done mushrooms and communed with nature in my younger years, so I get it. Once I did a hike to a cabin in the dark, crawling over a log across a stream, and then straight the next morning walked the same way back. OMG I was horrified and amazed. It took longer to reverse the exact same route in the daylight with all my wits about me.
