Seattle voters have become even more pessimistic about the direction of the city, with more people actively considering moving elsewhere compared to August.
The Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce commissioned EMC Research to survey registered voters in March for the chamber's Index, an over-time, quality-of-life measurement about the regions most-pressing issues. The second installment of the Index was released Tuesday.
Three-quarters of respondents said Seattle is on the wrong track, an 8-point jump since August. Eighty-one percent in March said quality of life is worse than four years ago.

The number who said their top concern is homelessness actually dipped 5 points between August and March, but it's still the top concern, with six in 10 listing is as their biggest concern. Forty-six percent listed public safety. Ranked third is housing affordability, listed by 22%, or 7 points higher than in August.

(4,619 posts)People don't feel safe downtown, or other places.
You can't blame them.
Crime is truly out of control, and the criminals rarely if ever go to jail.
Seattle a once beautiful city one could be proud of.
Not any more.
Seems more like an asylum.
And yes I work and live in Seattle.
I am biased though.
They keep stealing my stuff. Breaking my windows. Breaking into my car. Stealing my catalytic converters. On, and on, and on.
Dear Bruce DO SOMETHING.

From me, my store, my car, my neighbors, my friend's businesses.
One dude went to work and they cut 15 catalytic converters from 15 of their delivery trucks.

I live here and the situation is as dystopian as suggested. I know several people who have fled the area.
