Drivers in Olympia should expect I-5 ramp closures, cleanup work on Monday

May 13—Several I-5 ramps through Olympia will be temporarily closed on Monday while crews conduct routine maintenance work.

According to a news release from the state Department of Transportation, five ramps will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday. They include the 14th Avenue Southeast ramp going south, the Henderson Boulevard ramp going south, the Plum Street ramp going north, and both northbound and southbound Pacific Avenue ramps.

Drivers should use alternate routes during this time and are encouraged to pay attention to work zones.

During this time crews will be repairing guardrails and signs, removing vegetation, and sweeping the ramps. At the same time, state Department of Corrections crews will be removing litter, according to the release.
