Renton police warn residents of bear season after 4 were spotted in a backyard tree
RENTON, Wash. — Police are warning Renton residents of bears recently spotted in the area.
A momma bear and her three cubs were seen in a tree in the backyard of a home in the 200 block of Graham Ave NE, according to the Renton Police Department.
"Normal protocol is to leave them be and they will typically come down on their own, hopefully all safely without too many bumps and bruises," Renton police said in a news release. "In the meantime, we would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that it’s the season for bears and they are foraging — many with their littles ones in-tow..."
