'We need more patrol:' Downtown Seattle art gallery says it was broken into via gunshots

A downtown Seattle art gallery said it was targeted for the second time in less than two months as three men reportedly shot through the window three times and stole three carvings on Sunday morning.

Fossil & Stone, located in the 200 block of Pine Street, had a mammoth tusk stolen from the gallery in early April.

The gallery told KOMO News about the most recent theft, which they say occurred at 4:43 a.m. Police arrived four minutes later, they said, and nobody was injured.

According to the gallery, two fossil sculptures were stolen during opening hours on March 19, the tusk was taken during opening hours on April 5 and the latest incident came while the gallery was closed on Sunday.
