Gas prices drop since last week in Seattle, Washington state

SEATTLE — Gas prices in Seattle dropped 5.6 cents a gallon since last week, bringing the city's average to $5.59 per gallon as of Tuesday, according to GasBuddy's survey of 775 stations in the city.

Prices in Seattle are still 11.6 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and $1.72 per gallon higher than a year ago.

The price of diesel has fallen 6.3 cents nationally in the past week and stands at $5.72 per gallon.

Nationally, the average price of gas decreased by 10.4 cents per gallon since last week to $4.78.

5.69 to 5.19 over about 10 days. I've seen it as low as 4.89.
