Incentive program now available for Seattle landlords to house homeless

An incentive program for Seattle landlords to help house homeless people in their units is now available, according to a media release from the King County Regional Homelessness Authority (KCRHA).

The incentive program, which was announced last month, is seeking 800 units to support the effort.

Seattle landlords that are part of the program will receive the full amount of rent, guaranteed to be paid on time. The Housing Command Center will also cover security deposits and other one-time move-in expenses.

Prospective tenants will be taught rental responsibilities, apartment upkeep and how to be a good neighbor.
