Ask Costco toreject GMO salmon
As you know, more than 60 grocery retailers across the U.S., including Safeway, Kroger and Trader Joes, have already committed to not sell risky genetically engineered (GE) salmon. But Costco is not listening to customer concerns. So were working with Friends of the Earth and a coalition of Seattle-area groups including Community Alliance for Global Justice, fishermen, members of UFCW Local 21 and others to turn up the heat on Costco at their headquarters!
Join us for a Day of Action on Thursday June 25th and help deliver more than 200,000 petition signatures asking Costco to support sustainable seafood and say no to GE salmon!
What: Petition delivery telling Costco to not sell GE salmon
When: Thursday June 25th, 10-11am

Costco needs to be a true leader.
If its approved by the FDA, GE salmon could threaten our health, environment and wild salmon populations. Already, 2 million people have called on the FDA to reject GE salmon. But the FDA is not listening either.
If approved by the FDA, GE salmon would be the first genetically engineered animal approved by regulators for human consumptionand it likely wont be labeled.
Even if the FDA approves this risky GE fish, Costco can make sure it stays off our plates.
