Seattle gang detectives investigating after Sunday morning shooting in Pioneer Square

Seattle detectives are investigating an early-morning shooting that left two people injured in Pioneer Square.

The incident was first reported at 2:15 a.m. Sunday. Witnesses called 911 after shots were fired near Second Avenue South and South Washington Street, according to a Seattle Police blotter post.

Witnesses told detectives a physical fight between two groups escalated, and shots were fired. Two people were transported to Harborview Medical Center with injuries, but their injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.

The suspect or suspects were not located.

Several cars parked in the area were also damaged by gunshots.
