Starting Today, Scott Walker is Officially in Hot Water LINKS TO THE EMAILS

Today a court of appeals in Madison, Wisconsin, will release thousands of previously sealed emails that belong to convicted felon and former Scott Walker aide Kelly Rindfleisch.

Update: Download the emails right here (Warning: Very large PDF files)... Walkerdocs 1 | Walkerdocs 2

The Progressive will be publishing sections of the emails and other documents released by the court, as well as breaking news and analysis throughout the day. Follow the conversation on Twitter at #WalkerDocs.

Wisconsin's divisive governor became a national rightwing hero after he ended most collective bargaining rights for public employees and survived massive public protests in 2011 and a recall election in 2012. He has been traveling the country to promote his book, "Unintimidated: A Governor's Story and a Nation's Challenge," laying the groundwork for a likely 2016 Presidential campaign.

A real theme emerges from the tone and content of these emails: Walker's staff are complete a__holes, and racist ones at that:

Update, 12:30 p.m. CST: On pages 8,921 and 8,922 of WalkerDocs 2, we find Walker's county chief of staff Thomas Nardelli passing along a racist email smearing Muslims. It is titled, "Tolerance." Nardelli comments, "After the candidate forum, this will put a smile on your face for certain!"

I am perplexed that so many are against a mosque being built near Ground Zero. I think it should be the goal of every American to be tolerant. The mosque should be allowed, in an effort to promote tolerance.

That is why I also propose, that two gay nightclubs be opened next door to the mosque thereby promoting tolerance within the mosque. We could call the clubs "The Turban Cowboy" and "You Mecca Me So Hot".

Next door should be a butcher shop that specializes in pork and have an open barbeque with spare ribs as its daily special. Across the street a very daring lingerie store called "Victoria Keeps Nothing Secret" with sexy
mannequins in the window modeling the goods.

Next door to the lingerie shop, there would be room for an Adult Toy Shop (Koranal Knowledge?), its name in flashing neon lights, and on the other side a liquor store, maybe call it "Morehammered"

Why haven't they tried to stop these? Are they confident there is nothing there or did she get mad they didn't pay her legal fees?

but once the order came down, she didn't have enough to pay the attorneys to go through to redact, which she was given 30 days to do. So once the time was up, out went the emails, with no redaction whatsoever. That makes this a LOT more interesting than a bunch of black marks across the emails.

I just saw Alberta Darling's personal email address being shared around on fb. She may wish that she had helped pay attorneys for redaction.

Walker asked for daily call between campaign and official aides, e-mails show

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) instructed a top aide to organize a daily conference call that involved both official and campaign staffers when he was executive of Milwaukee County in 2010, according to documents released publicly for the first time Wednesday that could complicate Walker's future as he eyes another term and a possible run for president.

The newly released e-mails, testimony and affidavits offered new clarity and prompted fresh questions about the extent to which Walker encouraged interaction between his 2010 campaign for governor and his aides on the official side. Such interaction was the subject of a criminal probe that was settled in 2012 and found no wrongdoing by Walker.

In April of 2010, Walker's then-chief of staff Thomas Nardelli sent an e-mail from his personal account to both county staff and campaign operatives indicating Walker wanted to begin a morning conference call to review the day's events and improve coordination.

"This is an e-mail where Nardelli informs this group of people that the County Executive has asked that we conduct a daily conference call," according to 2010 testimony from David Budde, the chief investigator in the Milwaukee County District Attorney's office.
Investigator says it is Walker who asks for daily campaign call (p. 41) ....
