Sen. Ron Johnson says he regrets that a letter he signed on nuclear talks was sent to Iran.

Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson has joined a few other Republican senators who say they have had second thoughts about signing an open letter to Iran’s leaders warning them that they can’t count on any nuclear arms control deal they reach with President Barack Obama’s administration, Bloomberg News reported Friday.

Amid criticism from U.S. allies, Johnson said he stood by the letter’s content, but it probably should have been written as an open letter to Obama or the American people.

“I suppose the only regret is who it’s addressed to,” Johnson said at a breakfast in Washington, calling it a “tactical error.”

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s top leader, said in a statement on his website that the letter signed by 47 Republican senators was “a sign of a decline in political ethics and the destruction of the American establishment from within,” The New York Times reported...............

Sen. Johnson is having second thoughts? Well, that would be two times as many as he's had since being elected. He is nothing but a tea party lemming. Just do what the others do; individual thinking is frowned upon.
