(8,526 posts)We'll only be able to to attend on Saturday, so we'll miss almost all of the speechifying anyway. I'm packing plenty of popcorn for the leadership elections. Like so many across this state, it's hard not to feel like the fix is in, as usual. But I think this year will be different. Enough people are disturbed and disgusted to the point that we could actually see fireworks of the pissed off, protesty kind. It should make for a fine media event. #CanWeFuckThisUpAnyMore
I thought the teaser by Tate was pretty lame, too. Seems like he quit caring about his job in January. After what Hajdu posted on FB yesterday, it appears we have long passed the pinnacle of professionalism as a party. I only hope after the officer elections are over, the adults are back in charge.

(3,577 posts)Has anyone received information about the convention yet? As I recall from other conventions, we should have been sent a packet by this time. I know we are on the delegate list. Mike Tate certainly has our address because the fundraising letters have reached us.

(18,964 posts)but I have to admit....like Sybilla said...I'm pretty sure "the fix is in"...saw it happen a couple of times and have little faith in the state-wide organization to reform itself.
will work my A$$ off locally to put Dems in the legislature, senate, congress and the governor's chair....in spite of the state party
