Wisconsin

I am so so so very proud of my friends and neighbors here in Wisconsin who are absolutely rocking the vote today.
Turnout is off the charts.
And my fellow DU'ers keep posting pics that bring tears to my eyes - an elderly woman conducting voter registration, a young family defying the egg-throwing thugs that would try to intimidate them to silence, a man driving van-loads of People to the polls.
This is the culmination of 16 months of hard work, raising our voices during snowstorms, collecting petitions in freezing cold and working like never before to get out the vote.
This is a GRASS ROOTS effort, inspired, led and fulfilled by the everyday working People of Wisconsin - young, old, rich, poor, union and not, coming together to right this ship.
I'm way more proud than when the Packers won the Super Bowl just days before the shitstorm started.
Thank you fellow Wisconsinites, and thanks to all of you around the Country and the world who have supported us.
We are getting this done!!!!!!!!!!!!

You said it perfectly, Scuba. I'll add pride in the many, many folks around the country who pitched in with pizza, donations, videos, Tweets, FB posts, and just plain ol' letters to the editor about what was happening in WI.
Thanks, everyone.

The rest of the nation should sit at your feet and learn from the BEST.

(793 posts)sometimes when I feel really good about things, I watch O'Reilly at 8PM and if I still feel goood, I watch Hannity and then somehow I believe that the problem is them dirty hipsters, pinko preverts and wiccans.
I haven't done this in years, because I kind of like the feeling good about being a Citizen.

(1,721 posts)Soon you'll be a right-to-work state, just like Iowa as well. So glad that Bobby Jindal came and commended Wisconsin for becoming more like Louisiana. This is a HUGE loss for working people.
