WINNEBAGO COUNTY (WLUK) -- People who live on the west shore of Lake Winnebago say this year's ice shoves are the highest they've seen in years, and they continue to send us photos and videos.

Ice shoves occur in the spring when the ice on the lake melts. The wind then picks up chunks of weakened ice and blows them onto the shore. The ice chunks pile up and in some cases can threaten homes.

Some of the videos shared with us show the ice shoves undulating like moving mountains or toppling in avalanches. Take a look:
