Freedom of the Press? Only if your colleagues 'behave.'

http://wcmcoop.com/2012/08/22/freedom-of-the-press-only-if-your-colleagues-behave/

"WTDY News reporter Dylan Brogan was barred from covering a Mitt Romney campaign event today in Madison featuring US Senator Ron Johnson. The event, held at the Monona Terrace, was open to the Press. Mr Brogan, carrying WDTY press credentials, was denied access to the meeting room and ultimately escorted from the building by Madison police.

Wisconsin Communications Director for the Romney campaign, Ben Sparks, requested event staff to notify him if WTDY arrived to cover the event. Mr. Sparks explained that Mr. Brogan would not be allowed entrance, as WTDY’s John “Sly in the morning” Sylvester had protested a Romney campaign event in Janesville a few weeks earlier. The entire exchange between Brogan and Sparks outside of the meeting room is included in Brogan’s coverage of the event for WDTY. Listen here...."

If that sets a precedent for Obama's people banning Fox News reporters from events then this is a good thing.

3. It seems "Freedom of the press" is not a Repuke value or option any more.

4. Hard to blame them. Every time they get asked a non-scripted question they fall apart like ....

... a wet cardboard box. Hell, they can't even handle the scripted questions.

5. Which reminds me, did you see that Milwaukee Urinal/Sentinel shill on Rachel last night?

He was supposed to be a Paul Ryan "expert".

Rachel kept asking him about abortion and birth control and he kept saying that Ryan is "best known as a fiscal conservative" and talked about what "strong conservative credentials" Ryan has. He had a very short script and he read from it in response to every question she asked.

The press here in Wisconsin isn't "free", it's bought-and-paid-for.

6. Too true!! Exactly the way in which Wanker responded during the debates:

never really responded to the questions, just kept repeating, "We'll move Wisconsin forward" (a meaningless phrase).
What the Repukes say is indeed meaningless as they are puppets and vote per ALEC designation. Most don't even read the legislation.
I worked late last night & could not watch.
Hope all is well with You!
