Is he drunk or is it just his arrogance that makes him sound that way? Sly does a good interview with Grothman. I started listening and couldn't stop- what a fascinating man...

(53,475 posts)... Glenn can talk for hours without making any sense. Republicans here in Senate District 20 will vote for their party no matter how crazy.
Interesting that Glenn describes Tanya's base, working families, as "special interests". I worked on her campaign with several other volunteers and saw no hint of support from unions or anybody else (read: DPW).

(140 posts)when he has that idiot on. Any other right wing nut he rightfully jumps down their throat. With Glenn however, he's so cordial you'd think they're gonna meet up at the bar for drinks and chit-chat later.

(3,974 posts)And he did laugh dismissively at almost everything Grothman said, which Grothman seemed to enjoy. Very odd.

(6,622 posts)I did just that on Saturday, when a couple of us spotted him walking near the bar where a bunch of us were hanging out. I pulled him in to the bar and sat and talked with him for about 45 minutes. I can't talk to him about much, but I hammered on him about some election issues.
He was incredibly dorky looking in his Badger jersey.
As much as I can't stand anything he stands for, he IS in the party that is in power, and if I can get him to budge on any tiny issue, it will be an enormous victory for me. I actually was not very proud of a couple of other people in the bar who interrupted our conversation in order to tell him to leave.
