Wisconsin Plain Talk: Our governor should mind his own scandals

http://host.madison.com/news/opinion/column/dave_zweifel/plain-talk-our-governor-should-mind-his-own-scandals/article_2cca5ef8-b1ed-5c5e-8a9b-e0990e508392.html#ixzz2UgYIU63Z

"First, fire any and all employees responsible for this situation," Scott Walker and Jindal, both of whom consider themselves possible GOP presidential timber, counseled the president. "Second, appoint a special prosecutor now to find out if laws were broken and if anyone committed crimes."

This from the guy who has been dodging scandals ever since he was elected executive of Milwaukee County — scandals that have followed him to the governorship and caused him to use $447,602 of his flush campaign war chest to pay lawyers who would make sure he didn't wind up being charged himself.

In the more than 50 years that I've been observing Wisconsin's political scene, I can't recall a top Wisconsin politician who surrounded himself with staffs that show such utter disregard for the laws as has the current governor. Six of his political associates, including three of his key staff in the county executive's office, were convicted of crimes ranging from violating laws forbidding political campaigning while on the government's dime to stealing thousands of dollars from a fund for families of soldiers who had been wounded or killed. The latter offense was committed by Walker's deputy chief of staff, a staff leader in Walker's county administration. It's enough to make even the late Chicago Mayor Richard Daley blush.

...

Then a few months later an audit reported that the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp., which is chaired by none other than the governor himself, wasn't following proper procedures in tracking loans or accounting for funds that were distributed to supposedly spur job creation in the state. If that wasn't enough, Madison's WKOW-TV uncovered the news that the WEDC's $73,000-a-year public relations guy owed more than $36,000 to the state for back taxes and was suspected by another state agency of scamming $7,770 in unemployment benefits.

They lowered our foodstamps and dropped my wife from state insurance. (And Walker is cock-blocking the federal ACA). All because I finally paid off a debit to the SSI and my disability is going up $100.00.
We already have to hit 4 food pantries a month just to eat. My adjusted gross income for the last three years has been a negative number.
Mr Walker, be content with your one term, and thankful that the won't be a space on the next ballot to vote for your incarceration. I will do everything in my power to see you banned from public office forever.

Ingest feces and expire.

The part that haunted him were the long lines of dusty fleeing refuges. With tears in his eyes, he realized if the conditions were bad enough; the poor, sick, and elderly would flee into Illinois and Minnesota just like that.
