Scott Walker signs abortion bill, providers quickly sue

Madison — Gov. Scott Walker signed a bill Friday requiring doctors who perform abortions to have admitting privileges, and abortion clinics responded by immediately suing state officials over the measure.

The law — signed Friday by Walker in a private ceremony — would cut the number of clinics offering abortions in Wisconsin from four to two, and one of the remaining clinics will have to dramatically cut the number of abortions it provides, according to the operators of the clinics. The law is to take effect Monday.

Planned Parenthood and Affiliated Medical Services filed the lawsuit in federal court in Madison. They brought it against Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen, Dane County District Attorney Ismael Ozanne, Safety and Professional Services Secretary Dave Ross and the members of the Medical Examining Board — all of whom have authority to enforce the law or issue sanctions.

and he's not going to let ethics or common decency hold him back. He's checking off the itemized list, doing what he can to please his masters, and he's got two-bit hacks likes Vos and Fitz to help him on his way.

Every time "They" enact a law like this they get sued and usually lose. Even if no money is awarded there are thousands of dollars spent in legal fees not to mention the waste of the courts time.

If "They" sue over a progressive measure that passes, again more money and time are wasted.

These are supposed to be fiscally conservative policies?

More like a "heads I win, tails you lose" coin toss.

Typical repuke approach - complain about government interfering in people's lives and then impose dangerous and hurtful regulations on them. Wisconsin politics are in the toilet because of Walker and the repuke majority. If we in Wisconsin re-elect Walker...well, I don't even want to think about what that means for our state. His second term would likely be even worse than the first.

Where are the equal opportunity legislative bills covering males in the abortion issue? There are plenty of ways to have accountability for offspring but females have the responsibility and burden of the fetus. Let's forward some ideas affecting males in the picture.

I would think it would make sense that doctors that perform these procedures that can have complications should have the ability to admit those cases that would require hospitalization for the safety of the patient. Maybe the problem isn't so much with the law, but with the doctors inability to have admitting rights.

How this creepy man ever got elected to this high position of power is beyond any thinking person's ability to understand. Who do he and his minions think they are that they can decide medical procedures for women and invade their bodies at will? Stinking mental misfits. Will anyone in Wisconsin...and anywhere else where these perverts are messing with a women's privacy... introduce a bill that would oust any elected official who professes to know and make laws concerning what personal medical procedures and medical care any person requires. Such misguided elected officials should undergo a mental evaluation because it is quite possible he is suffering from delusions of grandeur and other psychiatric maladies, and should be removed from office immediately for the safety of the people.
