http://bloggingblue.com/2013/08/01/the-icebergs-tip-scott-walker-and-the-new-john-doe-emails/What follows is the first of a series of guest blogs by Graeme Zielinski, who will be reporting on the latest developments in the Milwaukee County John Doe investigation of Scott Walker.
The Icebergs Tip: Scott Walker and the New John Doe Emails
After this week, there can be NO DOUBT that Scott Walker knew of an illegal political conspiracy in his midst, at his behest and for his benefit, following the June 2010 collapse of a county parking garage that killed a boy.
As the nations executives gather in Milwaukee for the National Governors Association meeting, kicking off Thursday, Scott Walker is facing embarrassing new revelations following the release of hundreds of pages of new documents from the John Doe criminal probe, from which he has, for now, escaped prosecution.
A Republican reserve judge has helped Walkers public relations campaign with a secrecy order that, for now, prohibits the release of documents related to the ranging probe, which concluded earlier this year and resulted in the conviction of several top members of Scott Walkers political inner circle.
This week, another judge permitted the release of documents related only to the 2010 incident yet tens of thousands of other documents remain under lock and seal.
Still, the tiny release this week released a floodgate of information about Scott Walkers central role to the John Doe conspiracy and the illegal way he ran Milwaukee County.
As the first Wisconsin governor in modern times to face criminal prosecution and to raise a criminal defense fund, Walker has engaged in one of the most successful political coverups Wisconsin has seen. When hes not avoiding questions altogether in the John Doe crimes, he is twisting the questions to his benefit.
Asked about this weeks revelation, and the fact that he was central to the political coverup that occurred in the wake of the collapse of ODonnell Park, Walker slithered away from the question, claiming that it was outside groups that had forced him to react so politically.

(45,274 posts)2. I thought the John Doe investigation was dead in the water
when the Milw. Co. Atty didn't continue the investigation on Walker because he said he didn't have sufficient proof.

(4,949 posts)5. This new info is ciming out now July 30th 2013 re: an ongoing investigation of a Boy's death
http://www.jsonline.com/news/milwaukee/new-emails-show-scott-walker-played-role-in-odonnell-park-news-flow-b9964849z1-217511151.html
Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Christopher Foley released the emails as part of a lawsuit by the boy's family. Retired Appeals Judge Neal Nettesheim, who oversaw the John Doe investigation of Walker's staff, had earlier authorized prosecutors to cull records compiled for the secret probe that had some links to the O'Donnell accident.
In one exchange, Walker's top Milwaukee County fiscal aide, Cindy Archer, emailed Walker and Walker campaign aides on July 8 that "we may be responding too quickly" to requests for O'Donnell-related records made by his Republican primary rival, Mark Neumann, and by the state Democratic Party.
Archer said she heard from Gilkes, Walker's campaign manager, that Democratic Mayor Tom Barrett was taking three months just to acknowledge receipt of public records requests.
"My sense from Keith is that we should be operating one step above ignoring them," Archer says in an email to county staffer Kelly Rindfleisch.
On the day of the O'Donnell accident, a county aide to Walker raises the issue of whether a car striking the concrete panel might have jarred it loose.
"Perhaps grasping at straws but there is a vacant parking space at the north end of the area where the slab was hung," Timothy Russell wrote in an email to four Walker campaign aides and two other county employees. "Could a car have jarred it?" Russell writes.
The notion that some vehicle may have struck the panel that fell has become a key part of the defense mounted in pretrial filings by Advance Cast Stone.

(525 posts)6. A boy's death was nothing to Wanker and his goons. Disgusting!
I hope that national press takes notice, but I'm not holding my breath. Our sorry excuse for a governor seems to get away with anything.
