Related: About this forumWisconsin: Out of State Union Thugs! Oh wait, it's just the Capitol Police
A woman being arrested during the Solidarity Sing Along at the Wisconsin State Capitol last week as her child walks beside her.
What's most important to know is that the capitol police are not required to enforce the new permitting laws; they're actively choosing to arrest singers and give them citations of 701.00. Capitol police are even threatening passive spectators with arrest.

(18,964 posts)How can the Capitol Police NOT understand how pictures like this are only strengthening the resolve of the singers and recruiting more people to join them?
How can Walker condone this when it has to be politically damaging to him in-state and out-of-state?
My only guess is that they (Walker and his lackeys) are so steeped in arrogance that they simply don't care.

(45,274 posts)I suspect that a fair number of their fellow citizens are cheering on the arrests.
Amazing what a concerted disinformation campaign can accomplish.

(6,622 posts)the right-wingers are up on the second or third floor bridges, far from the action, videoing and cheering the arrests. Fasco-tourists.

spouted off the mantra about the singers that Walkerbots have been putting out:
"They need to get a job"...when I told him they had jobs and only sing on their lunch hour...
"Oh...so they're state employees bellyaching about having to pay their own retirement eh?"....No, I said, only some are...
"Ah...they're Union Thugs trying to make trouble again." ....I walk away shaking my head.
I swear you can't talk to these guys..

(6,622 posts)that if she got arrested with child at her side again, they'd call Children's Protective Services on her. They've already done it to one person, so I have no doubt they'd do it again.
