Wyoming Democrats to honor unions and workers

WYOMING – The Wyoming Democratic Party will honor fallen workers tomorrow in observance of Workers Memorial Day this weekend.

“This weekend, the Wyoming Democratic Party is honoring the lives of workers. We are dedicated to fighting for workplace safety because we value and celebrate our state’s working men and women,” said Wyoming Democratic Party Chairman Joe M. Barbuto. “We are proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with organized labor and working families.”

Wyoming Democrats, union leaders, and worker advocates from across the state will host a discussion on labor unions and safety standards. Wyoming has the nation’s third highest rate of worker deaths.

The event coincides with the 2019 WDP Reorganization and Central Committee Meeting, where Democratic county leaders from across the state with conduct business and elect new statewide leadership. It is scheduled for 12pm on April 27 in Casper, Wyoming.
