Death Penalty article in the Ottawa Sun this week. Makes me think the Conservatives

are actually going to bring it back. What a bunch of Monsters. The Death Penalty brutalizes the population, doesn't deter crime and costs an arm and a leg: much more expensive than keeping a criminal alive. Why would they do this? Because they like the authoritarian model of governance. Sick, sick, sick, sick, sick.

2. The vast majority of the people didn't vote for the Conservatives. The vote on the left was split

3. I understand that, but they still managed to give Harper a Majority and that sucks, and will

continue to suck for the next four years. Harper can do a lot of damage in those four years. I actually put most of the blame on the Liberals for voting a Michael Ignatieff in as there leader in the first place. The guy lived and worked in the US for 37 years, why the hell would you make him your leader?

4. Yeah. When Ignatieff didn't win the nomination that Dion did, Liberals should have

known he didn't have political instincts. The problem too is that the Liberals didn't have that go for the jugular war mentality that the Conservatives have. Just like in the USA the left in Canada has had to learn these neocons play for keeps.

be the ideal candidate still for the Liberals, but I certainly don't see anyone in the wings at this time. Just don't think that Justin has the same spirit as his dad did!

are not even the official opposition. I would like to see him in the Leadership roll at this time.

8. Bob Rae would be toxic to the Liberal's Ontario voters.

Bob Rae's bumbling, and broken campaign promises as Ontario's NDP premier caused the electorate to freak out and swing the polar opposite direction to elect Mike Harris. Too many people, shake their heads when they remember Rae, and say never again. He both tarnished the NDP provincially, and soiled his future aspirations with the federal Liberals.

9. Yeah, I knew that but thought as compared to Ignatieff Bob Rae would be a better leader than someone

who lived in the US for 37 years and really had no tie to Canada any longer. I really am at a loss as to who would be a Great leader for the Liberals, but they need to come up with someone as great as Trudeau.

And we've had the Omnibus crime bill rammed through, wheat board destroyed, per vote subsidy eliminated, Armed forces renamed, planned parenthood de-funded, office of religious freedom created (aka Office of Christian religious freedom), sovereignty of border security handed over to the USA, bombed Libya, Ok'd Keystone XL, free trade deals signed, and unions ordered back to work or left to twist in the wind........ (just a few Conservative accomplishments off the top of my head).

Currently a Conservative back bencher is scheduled to re-open the abortion debate next week, and now this??!! I already don't recognize Canada anymore.
