A petition to stop US President Donald Trump's UK state visit has gathered more than a million signatures.
Numbers of signatories have been rising rapidly since a US clampdown on immigration came into effect over the weekend, causing anger worldwide.
PM Theresa May announced the visit during her recent US trip. Downing Street has rejected calls for it to be cancelled as a "populist gesture".
Labour's Jeremy Corbyn urged the PM to postpone the visit.
The petition states: "Donald Trump should be allowed to enter the UK in his capacity as head of the US Government, but he should not be invited to make an official State Visit because it would cause embarrassment to Her Majesty the Queen."

(14,747 posts)Expect huge protests and ridiculous, not to mention ruinously expensive security precautions when President Fart visits.
There have already been large protests across the country at short notice this week.
All of this is likely to have the effect of ensuring that other countries become even more reluctant to let President Fart anywhere near their own lands.

Mr Matilda is a Brit, and our two offspring also have citizenship. They all signed another British petition once, and were able to do it by quoting their passport numbers.
But this one just asks for a postcode, so they can't add their names to it.
Disappointing.
