Just saw "You've Been Trumped"...any of you guys see it yet in the UK?

It's about "The Donald"s attempt to brutally reaarange a small Scottish village(the same place where the movie "Local Hero" was filmed)and force a two-golf course hotel resort into the place, wherein Trump was getting the Scottish government and the local authorities(the development would be in the home constituency of Alex Salmond, the Scottish First Minister)to aid and abet him in harassing a small group of farmers and homeowners and making them leave, just because he didn't want the customers at his hotel seeing their homes.

Anybody here have any ideas why Alex Salmond, someone I thought was experienced at standing up to arrogant authoritarian types, let himself get buffaloed into becoming Trump's henchman on this?

At a time when Rupe's credibility is at all-time low. In return the Dirty Digger has been tweeting pro-SNP messages and his 'The Scum' newspaper endorses the SNP in Holyrood elections.

The first SNP majority government has also come out in support of NATO in the event of Scottish independence. This makes the mockery of Salmonds anti-Trident line, where 'UK nukes' would be kicked out of Scotland's ports while French and USA nuke submarines would be welcomed.

This also puts Salmond's indignation of NATO's bombing of Yugoslavia into perspective.

A bit of power seems to have changed the man.

2. Salmond's become pals with Murdoch? Och!

It's bad enough that the at least one of the people Trump was tormenting in that film had been an SNP voter for 35 years. You'd think Salmond would at least defend his own fucking SUPPORTERS against outside corporate harassment.

It seems to me that Alex deserves to have this classic by The Proclaimers dedicated to him now, given that this is the posture he seems to take towards The Donald:

Your first post in this thread seems to imply you didn't think this film was honest, since you said 'maybe there will'. That has us confused, because the rest of your posts are clearly anti-Trump.
