Huhne to face charges; resigns as energy secretary
Chris Huhne is to be charged with perverting the course of justice over claims his wife accepted speeding penalty points on his behalf in 2003.
The energy secretary's now ex-wife Vicky Pryce will face the same charge, Director of Public Prosecutions Keir Starmer said.
Mr Huhne, Lib Dem MP for Eastleigh, in Hampshire, has denied any wrongdoing.
BBC political editor Nick Robinson says there will be an urgent cabinet reshuffle, limited to the Lib Dems.
