He lacks the intelligence or curiosity to inform himself, or argue well. He is, for some reason, employed by the Telegraph - maybe to make its more dull-witted readers think they are as as intelligent as one of its writers, and that their prejudices are shared by its staff. He is George Bush, without such a lucky birth.

But I can't see that the blog is any worse than the right wing pap he's produced for a few years. I notice he writes it for an American RW audience - "Alinskyite" is one of their dog-whistles, but that's where the clicks are, I guess.

... and that this one just smacks of the substitutes' bench of the Fifth Form Debating Society.

I guess I've over-rated him in the past. Sorry!

He is one of the vilest and nuttiest of the Torygraph writers, and with people like Ed West, Cristina Odone, Peter Mullen and Tim Stanley for competition, that is saying a lot!

My favourite was one pointed out a few months ago by T-I-B, where among other things he accused Mitt Romney of being a RINO 'like David Cameron' (excuse me; we're not the 51st state YET).

....I tweeted that one of Delingpole's screeds was "hilariously bad" and he retweeted it in an effort to get his followers to turn on me.

It didn't work as Delingpole fanboys are as daft as he is. It was actually quite amusing to see people accusing me of being part of a "metropolitan elite" while I'm sat in an old pit village in Derbyshire. So much so that Delingpole himself accused me of having a "hair trigger hilarity complex"!

To be honest, I've long since concluded that the only rational explanation for Delingpole's gibberish might possibly be that he's a left wing troll on a mission to discredit conservative politics.
