Jeremy Clarkson 'punch': Top Gear episodes to be dropped

The BBC is expected to scrap the remainder of the current Top Gear TV series after allegations that presenter Jeremy Clarkson punched a producer.

The broadcaster said Clarkson, 54, had been suspended after what it called a "fracas" and has confirmed Sunday's episode of Top Gear will not be shown...

It is understood the two final episodes in the series will also be dropped....

And a petition calling for the BBC to "reinstate Jeremy Clarkson" started by political blogger Guido Fawkes has been signed by more than 120,000 people since it was launched on Tuesday afternoon.

... and are presumably of the opinion that Clarkson should be reinstated whatever he's done, is how many of them are also fully paid up members of the hang-em-and-flog-em brigade of opponents of violent crime ...

6. Indeed; and also how many of them are in favour of job insecurity; bosses being able to fire people

as they please; etc.?

Few people would expect to keep their job if they punched one of their bosses - they would think themselves damned lucky if they didn't get arrested! But Clarkson is supposed to be an exception. Why??!!!

if they'd been on the receiving end of a punch from Clarkson?

I have a feeling that a double standard would apply.

For him, even I'd watch the show.

I just hope he'd still have time to do some acting work.
