Just a short question anyone in this group: can you tell of someone has your emails blocked? (Original Post) demosincebirth Mar 2012 OP
You can find out how many are blocking you, but not who... NRaleighLiberal Mar 2012 #1

Emails blocked by a person normally just end up in their trash box or deleted by inbox rules. You will not know about this.

Emails blocked by a mail server should get you a response back about the failed delivery, normally with a vague to helpful reason for the failure.

There is the special case of when you/your host are on a blocklist/blacklist at the receiving server where often there is no response. Additionally some mail admins are not doing bounces for any reason.

if you send someone an email, even an email they are anticipating, if you use certain expressions in the wording of your header, your email might go to spam.

I run a small bizness, with my spouse, and I can't tell you how many times a week, someone will go to send me something and I never get it.

Once it was because they put the words "The check is in the mail" in the header.

Another time it had to do with the expression "re:" or "regarding"

The spam filter grabs emails with those headers, and since my email boxes often get 150 emails a day, I really cannot go into spam to look for things.

I have found a few expressions like "a brief note" work well to get around the spam filter.

There is also a way to tell your email that you want mail from a certain address, but I am clueless as to how to do that.
