Not a good day. Lost my DSL modem/router combo.
Was on DU and all of a sudden page wouldn't load. Checked other sites and same problem. Looked at my router since you never know what AT&T is doing. Noticed lights on unit were a little dim. Unplugged and plugged back in-NO lights. Tried different power unit-same deal. Pulled out old modem and power lights came on when I plugged in the same power brick-but old router wouldn't connect, which is why I replaced it to start with 3 years ago.
Drove the 40 miles round trip to Fry's, got a TPLink DSL modem/router/wifi unit for $39.99.
Came home and hooked it up and did the setup-no internet access. Checked all the connections, rebooted both computer and router-nada. Went through the whole setup procedure again and had internet again.
Now all I have to do is figure out why my brake lights are stuck on in my truck.
