Any idea how long until I can upgrade W-8.1 to 10?

Just bought a new Dell touchscreen coming with 8.1.
Guess I'll have to learn that until I can get 10.
There are some good tutorials on the web.
Using XP now.

3. How do I know if I want to "create media"?

I don't think I do, but maybe I do?
If so I'll need a usb or dvd and burner with 'at least 4 GB of space'.
Color me 'clueless in Alabama'.

4. It's always a good idea to have media

This means to load a bootable, installable copy of 10 on a USB or DVD.

It's just a good thing to have.

Saves that 6GB or whatever, download each time.

5. I have installed on 3 so far

just click on 32 or 64 bit,whichever your OS is,run program, and it takes about 30 minutes or so and done.You don't burn it to a disc or need a USB drive,it installs on its own.

I did all updates on previous versions before I installed 10.

After that you need to pay.
