Dad trying to help -Gaming Laptop-@ 1k or less.

Just trying to get a feel if there is a pack leader in this category or maybe what to avoid.

My daughter is just out of High School & has her first job. This is her money -I'm just trying to help.

And while I told her I did not approve of spending that much it is what she wants & I can't argue with her determination.

She was looking at a open Box Asus 15.6 intel core i7 16GB whatever that is. But the deal has expired. Suggesting she wait is probably not an option. Didn't work for me.

Anyhow any input would help I don't even own a cell phone and run a old desktop windows 7.

This looks decent and has a good rating from more than a few users.
And... It's under $1k.

does it have to be a laptop?- I'm a gamer & a monster desktop with a huge monitor makes any game a LOT of fun!

They have laptops too! 15' screen just to small for me

way cheaper to game on a console, unless you plan on buying tons of games then i would side with pc for the cheap steam game costs.
Damn video cards these days are near half the cost of the computer
