Cell phone problem....do I ask here??

Husband did something to his phone, he doesn’t know what, but he now can’t get on to WiFi. Does each cell phone have it’s own password to use to get on WiFi??? We both use the WiFi here in our house, but because we have our own phones, do we each have a password to get on?? Thanks.

At some point you'd have to had entered that password in your phone.

Does your phone still connect to Wifi?

What model phone does your husband use?

5. You should find a Setup icon on the phone screen and then there should be a Choice for WiFi

where you can turn WiFI on and off.

It may be he just turned it off.

Here' the Tracphone help instructions for WiFi:

How do I connect to Wi-Fi?
To connect to a Wi-Fi network, follow these steps:

From the main screen, tap the "Apps" icon.
Tap the "Tools" folder.
Tap the "Settings" icon.
Tap "Wi-Fi." If necessary, tap the slider to turn Wi-Fi ON.
A list of the available Wi-Fi networks will populate the screen. Tap the desired network.
If prompted for a network password, enter the password and tap “CONNECT.”

Also power down the phone and turn it on again just in case.

Be sure and power-off and power-on your phone ... not just lock the screen. An alternative (that works for me) is to put the phone in "airplane mode" for a few seconds and then back to normal. That seems to reset the WiFi chip on my iPhone ... happens to me about once a month.

If that doesn't fix it, try power-cycling your wifi base station (aka cable modem or router).

use your wi-fi. When I’m out and about my phone will try to use whatever router it detects.
