Google Chrome sound very low

Sound is OK with Microsoft Edge

Trying to watch YouTube videos on my desktop

... and select Open Volume Mixer. That should display controls to adjust the volumes of the different programs.

Also double check the volume setting of the YouTube player within Chrome.

I found an extension called Volume Booster. It made no difference.
