HP Printer App

Until today, I've been able to print from my phone with the smart app for free. It appears that "they" removed the app and replaced it with one requiring payment.

Anybody know of a way around the new app to print on HP ENVY 6000 for free?

Or do you have auto-update apps turned on?

With apps switching to subscription model, I tutn that off and carefully check my apps for upgrades, and decide on a case by case basis. If they work, I generally leave them alone.

But it was removed by something. I've tried various apps. But all are charging as much as $7 weekly. I'm pretty frustrated.

Formerly HP Smart, the new HP app offers you more ways to get more from your HP device..

On that page, click "About this app"

Hope this helps. I gave up multifunction for a dumb b/w laser. So did my ex. She was aghast at the cost of ink cartridges.

I think the Android version you posted may work.
The desktop has the old HP Smart that wont open.

Will try again tomorrow with fresh eyes and brain.
