Need info on Nook
I have the opportunity to get a free nook that is WIFI enabled. Do I need an internet connection when I go to a coffee shop that has free wifi?

I'm not sure if I understand what you're asking but if you have the wifi-capable device and they have the wifi then you shouldn't need anything else. I take my Ipod touch to coffee places and surf the web. Some places, you have to ask for a password but not many require that.

With the Simple touch, you can connect to the web to buy books. You need the HD to surf the web and read e-mails.
all of them will hook to free wi-fi
