Just recently discovered that my laptop screen is brighter when unplugged then when plugged in and charging. Not a big deal but i usually keep it plugged in at all times. What/where do i change/fix this ?

in control panel. You may also be able to access it by clicking on the battery icon on the taskbar.

Smartphones have that... they use the camera to determine how bright the screen needs to be. To saver power.

If your laptop has that, maybe your charging location is dimmer than your use location?
