Need some help with Fire Fox
I installed FF 10 and was told reboot
I did and now it tells me I have continue to reboot
I am not sure what is happening
Any help would be rewarded with a thank you

(37,540 posts)This is a minor update, I think. You have to shutdown FF, but I didn't have to reboot the system. I guess I'd reboot again and see if this clears...make sure you close all programs before doing that.

(47,675 posts)Seriously though, you might want to do a system restore to a prior checkpoint (like a few days ago). It won't damage your personal files or settings. It will just go back in time for the registry and related system files. Make sure the system is working again and then do a full reinstall of Firefox. It sounds like something fucked up in the install process.

(10,005 posts)Right click MyComputer (XP) select properities->advance tab->settings in startup and recovery and uncheck automatic restart on system error.
This should stop the rebooting and let you get and see error messages. With these we can better help you.

2. Uninstall Firefox 10
3. Reboot
4. Use the file from step #1 to reinstall Firefox
If the problem continues then it's probably not a Firefox update that's failing.
