Considering switching from an Android to the iPhone - HELP

Hi there,
My husband got new hearing aids and they can be adjusted best with an Apple phone so we might have to switch (phones already paid).

That said, can anyone answer the following for me:

1. We have all our contacts in Google - do they transfer to the iPhone?
2. We have lists in Google - do they transfer to the iPhone?
3. We have e-mail from gmail and Yahoo (ATT) mail - can I get them on the iPhone?
4. How well does stuff sync from the iPhone to a regular Windows PC?
5. Finally - how does the iPhone work AS A TELEPHONE!?!!?

We'd be using Verizon as our carrier (corporate discounts)

We don't live & die by our phones (often keep them off for days) but when we need them, we need them.

Thoughts?

Thanks so much

I have been very happy with my iPhone and found it easy to use.

...don't expect anything quick....like the ability to take a quick photo..it takes a good 5 seconds to open the cam app and by then my puppy has moved on...There are other things too that are driving me to a Galaxy.

Quicker than my wife's Samsung Galaxy (can't remember which version but it's 2 years newer than my iPhone 6).
Also takes a better photo than her Samsung Galaxy.

1. Yes, it's easy to transfer contacts from Google to iPhone. Pretty seamless.

2. Yes, there is a Google app for iPhone that will give you access to your lists . Also, the Notes and Calendar apps sync to Google, no problem.

3. Yes. You can setup multiple mail accounts and have them all delivered to your iPhone, no problem, using the built in mail app.

4. Syncing is easy via iTunes for music and videos. And it will connect as a camera/SD card for copying photos using whatever photo organizing app you use on your PC.

5. Works great as a phone. Call quality is crystal clear. As long as you have good signal from your carrier, you're good to go.

a Samsung Galaxy S4. Loved it. Used it for three years as my phone and usually internet access. Finally needed a new phone, so I put a SIM card in an iphone 6 that my spouse had traded up from. The rest of mt galaxy S4 still works fine, but the phone was too unpredictable.

I hate the iPhone and wish I could get a new Galaxy, but I don't want to spend the money. I have trouble trying to get events scheduled on my Google calendar. I hate the ringtone (I created my ringtone on my Galaxy S4). I hate too many things about the iPhone.

It did import my contacts. I don't know about lists. I suspect if you do a backup on a PC you can sync your iPhone to it and download your information.

We'll see what hubby decides. It'll all be about his hearing aids and how fancy he wants to get with them.
