Version 13.1.3 I did not get a time but MP/sec.. 41.6 down load and 20.6 up. Hope this helps.
I did not like the fact that I could not charge the battery unless I down loaded the new version of software.. Kind of holding you hostage to their whims... fuckers..

until I downloaded an update on Friday. Like, it was timing out--couldn't even open the app store to do the download until I was able to plug it into my laptop using wifi.

The bill from your ISP should have expected download and upload speeds based on how much you pay them. E.g. I'm paying for DSL with 20 down and 2 up, but they also have a cheaper rate for 10 down and 1 up.

One thing to be aware of is that speedtest.net adds up the speeds from several concurrent downloads (or uploads) and gives you the total speed as computed. It doesn't (by default) time a single upload or download (there's a small button that can select this).

If you have any number of dropped packets, this multiple-stream way of measuring can hide problems.

And remember of course that slowness might not be the fault of your ISP. There's the local environment (noisy WiFi) and the internet backbones and the remote server you're using. Slowness can come in almost anywhere

I live out in the sticks ... until recently I was lucky to get 5mbps from the local ISP. The only other option was geo-sync satellite with its enormous latencies and tiny bandwidth caps.
