You get a thing saying it's time to download an app you didn't ask for (that was not on the Apple store) and you enter your password? No. I will not be doing that.
Also I noticed that Safari is not one of the browsers utilized by this malware.

if you have an Apple professional store near you, they may advise on arranging your Keychain
